
Microsoft announced Wednesday the acquisition of Navic Networks, specializing in television advertising. With the acquisition, Microsoft plans to optimize the placement and delivery of TV advertising. Although terms of the deal were not disclosed, Navic has raised $43 million in three rounds of funding.
“Television media represents the largest percentage of advertisers and agencies’ media budget today,” said Brian McAndrews, senior vice president of the Advertiser and Publisher Solutions Group at Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft.
