A while back, the UPS man came knocking on my door with some goodies, the V-Moda Vibe earbuds. At first glance, I thought the earbuds’ design is very sexy, but it had me wondering whether the sound quality was just as great.
Design
V-Moda’s designs are incredible. The Vibe earbuds are made of aluminum - the earphones, the cable separator and the plug. They’re are extremely light weight and unlike other earbuds out there, the V-Moda Vibe earbuds are tangle free, or at least in my experience. Offering a broad choice, the V-Moda Vibe comes in five colors: blush, la mocha, flashblack chrome, gunmetal, red roxx, and midnight blue.
Accessories
The V-Moda Vibes come with six different pairs of fittings, three that are white and the other three are black. The fittings are really great, if one pair doesn’t work out for you, then pop them out and choose a different size. Another included accessory is the Modawrap, a V-shaped wrapper for the Vibe’s cable. It’s a really neat piece to include, however I haven’t used the Modawrap much. To store your Vibe earbuds, V-Moda also includes a pouch.
Sound Quality
The V-Moda Vibe has incredible sound quality. While testing, I used the Vibes on several devices such as the Zune, iPod, a notebook, and my phone. I wasn’t sure at first if the sound quality was going to impress, but after just a few minutes, I was blown away. The bass wasn’t the best out there, but when you do have your music on max volume, it’s not bloated and you can still hear the music in crisp quality. When it comes to the mids and highs, the V-Moda Vibe earbuds work their magic and the quality is crystal clear. As for noise cancellation, you can’t hear a thing once you have them on and playing something, which also makes them stand out from other earbuds on the market.
Final Thoughts
If you’re in the market for some new earbuds, I really recommend you give the V-Moda Vibe a try. Offering both stylish design and impressive sound quality, the V-Moda Vibe is a major step up from the typical earbuds that ship with most PMPs today. Now with all that said, the V-Moda Vibe earbuds are only $101.00 and are worth every penny.
